Dash & Splash Biathlon Results

Approximately 200 people ran Lanikai Loop and swam Kailua Beach in the annual Dash & Splash Biathlon held on a sunny Sunday morning.

Fleet Feet team members and friends competed well in both individual and relay categories. Lou and Asti Tomsic represented Fleet Feet in a very competitive mixed relay category! Running for Women participant Jennifer Treisch competed in her first ever biathlon (first ocean swim) and finished very admirably in her age category!

3D Marine 10K Run Results

Congratulations to Fleet Feet team members and friends on some great times on Saturday at the 3D Marines 10K Run on base.

Fleet Feet women did particularly well, sweeping the Open category among other things. Special congratulations to several women from our Running for Women classes who competed in this race. It was a first for some and all ran really well! They include Katie Brown, Karmin Kine, Jacqueline Hughes, Janice Matsumoto and Joanna Schwering.  Here are some notable results:

Congratulations to Rob Seaver!

Our store employee Rob Seaver completed the Ironman Arizona in 12:35:03.  He completed the 2.4 mile swim in 1:05:38, biked 112 miles in 6:39:21 and ran 26.2 miles in 4:35:38.  It looks like all of that hard training paid off!  Congratulations again Rob and we look forward to hearing all about it when you return.

Lanikai Triathlon Results

HURT Hawaii Races!

Congratulations to all the finishers of the Top of Tantalus run on Saturday, April 14. A record number of runners doggedly ran to the top before most of us had finished getting our dogs walked!

Fleet Feet team members John Smith, Jeff Tomaszewski, and Julie Doheney all had great runs (John and Jeff finished one second apart) as did store regulars Barbi McAllaster and Paul Sibley. Congrats!

Running For Women Series in May

Fleet Feet Sports Kailua is again offering a Running for Women series - beginning the week of May 14, 2007.

The physician-developed run/walk plan allows women of all ages and fitness levels to gradually ease into or step up their running. Women are encouraged to get into the program at their current level and will be provided with a personal coach throughout the 12 week series. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Intermediate classes are being offered.

If you have thought about increasing your cardiovascular capacity or improving your running form and pace and want to do more - click on the link provided below. Trail Runs

This past Saturday we had a great run on the Maunawili Demonstration Trail. Our small group enjoyed the cool weather and a good time was had by all. We will be continuing our trail run series once a month with our next run being on Saturday May 5th. We'll be doing the Aiea Loop Trail at 7:00am.
