Whether you are training for the upcoming Wahine 1/2 Marathon in April, the Haleiwa Full Marathon in June or you just want to get a nice run in, this 9 miler is beautiful and guarantees some nice Kailua Town and ocean views.
If you are not doing the Straub 10K (Now called Hawaii Pacific Health 10K), consider meeting others at Kailua Beach Park at 7:00 a.m. for this Sunday run. Water will be on your own. (It does help to bring water for Old Kalanianeole.) But there are water sources on the way up and on the way back - skate park off of Keolu has water and the Dinosaur park across from Castle has water as does Kailua H.S.
Finally, if you want to add miles, you could add either of the marsh or Lanikai Loop for an additional 2.5 to 3 miles.
